Lucid Inquiry LLC is the latest evolution of a consulting practice I began in 2013. What started as Baront Digital Media LLC, producing technical videos and documentation, became InfoPro Enterprises LLC in 2020, focusing on research and technical writing. In 2025, the practice matured into Lucid Inquiry LLC, dedicated to research, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and technical writing.

My background includes over 18 years of experience working in libraries and archives. During this time I have worked with historical records, archival AV material, databases, AV digitization, rare items, gigantic spreadsheets, bright and interesting people, and fantastic books. I spent 4 years supervising public library branches in Ann Arbor, MI and I have over 15 years of experience in technical writing and research. I’m an advanced Excel user, have several years of video and audio production experience, and can program in Python.

I have a strong interdisciplinary academic foundation:

B.A. English Language and Literature (minor: History)

B.S. Mathematics [cum laude] (minor: Physics)

M.S. Information Science

This interdisciplinary training allows me to combine analytical rigor, communication skill, and systems-level thinking.

What sets Lucid Inquiry apart is not just the final deliverable, but the reasoning behind it. Every project begins with careful questioning, critical evaluation of the available evidence, and a deliberate effort to separate what is known from what is merely assumed. Whether I'm producing a research report, analyzing data, or writing technical documentation, my goal is to deliver conclusions and results that are clear, well-supported, and genuinely useful.

I complement my research and writing with advanced Excel and Python for automation and data analysis along with the ability to leverage advanced AI tools to produce data-driven insights and well-structured outputs. These skills extend my research and writing foundation, ensuring that every project is analytically rigorous, practical, and usable.

I find AI to be an amazing tool. Rather than treating it as an answer generator, I use it as a thinking partner in a rigorous process of recursive questioning, constantly challenging, pushing, and vetting its responses. Claims are challenged, assumptions are tested, alternative explanations are explored, and conclusions are continually refined. AI is a powerful exploration tool, but one that requires constant verification because it can, and often does, make mistakes.

Clients come to Lucid Inquiry when they need to investigate a difficult topic, organize complex information, evaluate competing claims, or communicate technical findings with clarity.
